This Food safety training course provides learners with information on preventing contamination, awareness of food contamination and prevention of food poisoning.
The importance of good personal hygiene and effective cleaning methods. This course is for Group bookings only and can be delivered on site.
Anyone who works with food has a responsibility for the safeguarding of the consumers health. Ensuring that the food you serve or sell is perfectly safe to eat is a legal responsibility.

The Level 2 award is available as below;

- Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail
Who needs this qualification?
Anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Typical environments may include:
- pubs, hotels, restaurants;
- supermarkets and retail environments;
- food and drink manufacturers;
- care homes;
- Firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved;
- Understanding of how to control food safety risks (personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling);
- Confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers.
Refreshment of this qualification is recommended at least every three years.

A HACCP plan is designed to analyse the flow of foods throughout an operation. The HACCP plan helps you to identify potential food related hazards within your business operation to enable you to put controls in place where it is critical to prevent food poisoning or contamination.
The HACCP plan takes into account the size of your business and your specific needs. A qualified Food Hygiene professional will work with you to develop your HACCP programme; and can give you the advice and support you need to promote legal compliance.
