Food Safety Audits
You may be a large Food manufacturer or a small restaurant ….. but every business is required to ensure that it follows good health, safety and environmental practices.
Auditing is a structured comprehensive process used for verifying the efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of an organisation’s occupational health, safety and environmental management system.
The aim of an external audit is to ensure an organisation’s safety management system is being effectively implemented in order to manage the risk of accidents and ill health occurring in the workplace. It also ensures that sustainable environmental practices are being followed at all times.
Successful auditing has a significant effect on reducing rates of accidents, injuries, ill-health, litigation costs and improving productivity.
If you are a business premises preparing, storing or serving food you are required by Law to identify anything that may cause harm to your customers.
A HACCP plan is designed to analyse the flow of foods throughout an operation. The HACCP plan helps you to identify potential food related hazards within your business operation to enable you to put controls in place where it is critical to prevent food poisoning or contamination.
The HACCP plan takes into account the size of your business and your specific needs. A qualified Food Hygiene professional will work with you to develop your HACCP programme; and can give you the advice and support you need to promote legal compliance.
