Annual refresher training
Our Annual refresher training includes first aid for Adults, children and babies giving knowledge and skills in basic life support covering all ages. This training ensures your knowledge is up to date and gives further opportunity to practice skills learned.
Community first aid
Our community first aid courses are aimed at parents, carers and family members who look after children and would like to learn essential first aid skills. Courses can be delivered at home or at our training suite in Ashton.
Practical skills in CPR, recovery position and helping someone who is choking are covered in these sessions. A certificate is provided and children are welcome to join in with the practical learning. Practice is carried out on adult, child and baby CPR dolls.
Mini First Aid Workshops
We’re also really excited to be offering Mini First Aid workshops Year 6 students will learn how to carry out CPR, do recovery position and know about how to control bleeding and help with asthma and other conditions. In this training children work in teams to answer questions and play games at the end to consolidate learning. Your school may decide to award points to the winning team or provide other incentives. A certificate will be provided that you can print off and reward your children; and importantly they will have learned the skills that may help to save a life.
Food Safety
‘Food safety is very important for childcare because children are a vulnerable group.
