Annual refresher training

Our Annual refresher training includes first aid for Adults, children and babies giving knowledge and skills in basic life support covering all ages.  This training ensures your knowledge is up to date and gives further opportunity to practice skills learned.

Community first aid

Our community first aid courses are aimed at parents, carers and family members who look after children and would like to learn essential first aid skills.  Courses can be delivered at home or at our training suite in Ashton.

Practical skills in CPR, recovery position and helping someone who is choking are covered in these sessions.  A certificate is provided and children are welcome to join in with the practical learning.  Practice is carried out on adult, child and baby CPR dolls.

Mini First Aid Workshops

We’re also really excited to be offering Mini First Aid workshops   Year 6 students will learn how to carry out CPR, do recovery position and know about how to control bleeding and help with asthma and other conditions.  In this training children work in teams to answer questions and play games at the end to consolidate learning.  Your school may decide to award points to the winning team or provide other incentives.  A certificate will be provided that you can print off and reward your children; and importantly they will have learned the skills that may help to save a life.

Food Safety

‘Food safety is very important for childcare because children are a vulnerable group.
This means children can be more seriously affected by food poisoning and food allergy than some other groups of people’

First Aid training Courses in Manchester, Stockport and throughout the North West

Every year in the UK, thousands of people die or are seriously injured in accidents. Many of these deaths could be prevented if first aid is given at the scene of the accident before emergency services arrive. (source: www.nhs.uk)

First Aid is a life skill and first aid policies and procedures are also a requirement within the workplace.

Learning First Aid skills gives knowledge and practical skills that can make a difference between a life saved and a life lost

.. so GO M.A.D. … and learn to Make A Difference to someones life…

The Vinnie Jones Ad from The British Heart Foundation is a fantastic way to raise public awareness to encourage more people to ‘have a go’ and help Make A Difference …. though trained First Aiders should still practice procedures as trained on their First Aid Training Course
